Barrington Automation shock absorbers
(not shown) and hydraulic cushions (shown at left) are used to smoothly decelerate loads
at the end of stroke.They prevent rebound of linear and rotary units by bringing them to a
gentle halt with less wear on the stops and components. Cushions or shocks should be
adjusted so that they are not used as the final stop. Use hardened stopscrews
